If You’re Not Changing, You’re Choosing

Let’s get something straight: Momentum doesn’t pause; it changes direction. So Neutral is just a fancy word for drifting.

If you’re not changing, you’re choosing. And most of the time, you’re choosing comfort.

Life doesn’t drift toward growth. It drifts toward ease. Toward habits. Toward whatever you tolerate. That’s why standing still is never harmless. It’s a decision, a choice – whether you like to admit it or not.

Every unchecked pattern eventually becomes a lifestyle. Every delayed decision becomes a direction. And every “I’ll get to it later” quietly votes for the status quo.

It’s my belief that God isn’t going to do for me what I can do for myself, but He will multiply my diligent effort aligned with His plan.

Yes, there’s a season for waiting. But waiting is not the same as avoiding. And faith is not passive – it’s proactively obedient.

Growth requires movement, and repentance requires acknowledgement and change.

Discipline requires daily choices absent of consultation with feelings. You don’t wake up one day stronger, closer, sharper, or more aligned. You choose your way there, one uncomfortable decision at a time.

And listen, and this might hit kind of hard: If nothing in your life is requiring courage right now, you’re probably playing too small.

So this week, ask yourself honestly: Where have I been tolerating instead of transforming? What do I already know God is nudging me to change? What am I pretending not to see?

Don’t wait for a breaking point. Don’t wait for motivation. Don’t wait for permission. Choose growth. Choose obedience. Choose the hard thing on purpose.

Because if you’re not changing, you’re choosing.
