The Moore County Observer is a locally owned and operated digital media company serving the residents of Moore County, Tennessee. It is owned by Duane Cross, dba Moore County Observer, LLC, a Tennessee-based limited liability company committed to community journalism, public accountability, and the free exchange of information.

The Observer operates without political or corporate influence. We do not offer subscriptions, we do not accept advertising, we do not accept donations – and there is no paywall; all content is free.

The editorial team makes all decisions independently. Our mission is to provide accurate, fair, and relevant local news while promoting civic engagement and supporting the well-being of our community.
