Morey’s game-high 23 spurs Raiders to win

The MCHS Raiders got off to a scorching start Friday night and never looked back, defeating Fayetteville 69-50 on the road. With the win, MCHS improved to 3-11 overall and 1-0 in Region 5-District 9A.
Moore County jumped out to a 17-4 lead after the first quarter and maintained control throughout, leading 38-21 at halftime and 52-41 entering the fourth quarter.

Colton Morey led the Raiders with a game-high 23 points, including nine in the first quarter and eight in the fourth. Cooper Dickey added 12 points, and Tristyn Gray contributed 11.
Anderson Sharpe chipped in eight points with a 3-pointer. Knox Hall finished with seven points, including a 3-pointer, while Deacon Liles, Braylynn Hill, and Rylan Stovall added four, two, and two points, respectively. MCHS converted three of eight free throws.
Fayetteville was paced by Jayden Thomas, who scored 17 points, including two 3-pointers.
The Raiders trek to Murfreesboro Central on Tuesday for their next game.
