On Nov. 18, 2020, I launched a Jack Daniel's Facebook page and joined Instagram, not realizing what an adventure it would become.

I created the page to help others discover the brand, its history, and the many bottles released by the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. My plan was to share a new bottle, item, or bit of information every day for a whole year.

I reached that goal on Nov. 18, 2021, and I was thrilled to have 910 people following the page. I never imagined it would last this long or receive so much support.

Even though I manage the page by myself, I couldn’t do it without the support of the Jack community and my amazing wife. I also appreciate everyone who helps me check facts, sends items from around the world, and lets me know when something new is coming.

After five years, with over 2,300 posts, 22,600 Facebook friends, and more than 2,200 Instagram followers, what matters most are the genuine connections and friendships. Thank you for your support, especially everyone in Lynchburg and at the distillery – from the tour guides and barrel fillers to Jack Daniel’s management and the Brown-Forman team in Louisville.

I’m truly happy that many followers are generational employees whose families have worked at the distillery since Jack’s time, or are descendants of the Daniels, Motlows, Bobos, Tolleys, and other families whose stories are woven into Lynchburg’s history.

The page is more than just photos and facts. Thanks to the Jack Daniel’s community, friends in Lynchburg, and Squires from around the world, we’ve been able to support and raise awareness for several charities, including Operation Ride Home, Friends of Animals Rescue, United Way, Tunnel to Towers, and most recently, Stop Soldier Suicide.

With every visit my family and I make each year and all the friends we’ve made along the way, every trip to Lynchburg feels more and more like going home. Running the page has been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. I’ve really enjoyed learning with you, sharing our passions for Jack and the best little town in the world, Lynchburg, but most of all, meeting so many of you.

The Jack Daniel’s community truly is full of wonderful people!
