Byrom vying for 'Fairest of the Fair'

Lynchburg resident Allie Byrom will compete Friday night in the Tennessee Association of Fairs “Fairest of the Fair" Pageant. She will be representing Bedford County and has been working hard to prepare.
Byrom attended Moore County High School and was Miss Lynchburg 2022.
She attends Middle Tennessee State University, is an Alpha Delta Pi sorority member, and manages the sorority's social media.
She has always loved helping out in the community. She is holding a Cartwright Elementary School Drive to help a former teacher’s class. They need chapter books and headphones. Byrom is accepting donations at 338 Flippo Road in Lynchburg.
I had the blessing of cheering with Allie. She made me feel so welcome during my freshman year, and as I grow, I find myself looking back on her and the impact she had on me. She has such a big heart and lights up every room. She is definitely someone I look up to.
I asked Allie a few questions about the upcoming pageant.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to getting to enjoy the weekend with my family and fair board, and the queen’s party with my sister queens! I'm so thankful for a fair board that has done so much for me this year, and happy I get to experience the weekend with them
Q: What are you most nervous about?
I’m most nervous about the interview. I love to talk, but sometimes I can get a little nervous!
Q: What have you done to prepare?
I have done lots of prep! I have been practicing my walk and interview questions. For me, practice is what will make me confident for the real day.
Q: What are your future plans?
I am currently in school at Middle Tennessee State University obtaining a Public Relations and Marketing degree. My focus is in the recording industry and I would love to become an artist manager or PR in Nashville and in country music.
The Tennessee Association of Fairs “Fairest of the Fairs” Pageant is 6 p.m. Friday at Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro.
