Jack Daniel’s is starting the 2026 Formula 1 season with a new limited-edition Tennessee whiskey, made together with the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team. This ongoing partnership has become a yearly tradition for both racing and whiskey fans.
The 2026 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team X Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is the fourth annual bottle from this partnership. This year’s edition highlights two big milestones: McLaren’s 1,000th F1 Grand Prix, expected in Miami, and the Jack Daniel Distillery’s 160th anniversary in Lynchburg.
“Jack Daniel’s and McLaren both possess a dedication to heritage, innovation, and the pursuit of possibility,” said Mark Bacon, SVP and global managing director for Jack Daniel’s. “This year’s limited edition bottle celebrates that shared legacy with a bold design that gives fans a premium way to celebrate the spirit of both brands.”
Leaders at McLaren Racing described the bottle as a collectible that marks an important year for the team.
“This is a milestone year for McLaren as we look ahead to our 1,000th Grand Prix in Miami,” said Nick Martin, co-chief commercial officer for McLaren Racing. “Our long-standing partnership with Jack Daniel’s is built on shared ambition, and this limited-edition bottle gives fans a special way to acknowledge this important chapter in our journey.”
Higher Proof, New Look
In addition to the motorsports connection, the 2026 release features a higher bottling proof at 86 proof (43% ABV), compared to Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, which is usually 80 proof. The distillery says the higher proof yields a “fuller, more robust flavor,” with caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak notes, ending with a smooth, creamy finish.
The whiskey uses Jack Daniel’s classic grain bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley. It follows the brand’s signature process: distilled in Lynchburg, then charcoal mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging in new American white oak barrels.
The packaging has a new, race-inspired look. Jack Daniel’s says the bottle’s wrap was designed to match McLaren’s 1,000th Grand Prix celebration graphics, which will be used in the team’s branding during the 2026 season.
Where to Find it – and What it Costs
The limited-edition whiskey is expected to arrive in stores this month in global F1 Grand Prix markets and some other locations. It will be available in 700mL and 1L bottles, with a suggested price of $34.99 for the 1L size, according to the distillery.
As with other special releases, availability will vary by market and retailer.
Please drink responsibly.

McLaren is one of Formula 1’s most storied teams – an enduring “works-style” operation (it designs and builds its own chassis) that has repeatedly cycled between eras of dominance, reinvention, and resurgence.
Founded in the 1960s by New Zealand driver-engineer Bruce McLaren, the team became a front-running force, building a reputation for technical innovation.
Today, McLaren competes as a global brand and elite engineering outfit based at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England.
