Christmas Morning Breakfast Ideas

PIPPA PEPPERMINT
MCO Elf & Holiday Enthusiast
Well, sugarplums ... the time has come. Today is my last day at the Observer for this year, and I can hardly believe it! Christmas Eve is always magical, but it’s a little extra bittersweet when it’s time for this tiny peppermint elf to pack up her glitter, candy canes, and sassy holiday spirit until next year.
It’s been a whirlwind of sparkle, cocoa, crafts, and chaos — and oh my cinnamon, y’all made it the most joyful adventure a North Pole-trained elf could ever ask for! From Christmas scavenger hunts to DIY ornaments, festive recipes, and silly polls, you’ve been the best audience an elf could hope for.
Remember the Magic
Even though I’m flying back to the North Pole for a well-deserved cookie break, the magic of Christmas is everywhere in Lynchburg. Look around:
• Twinkling lights on the Barrel Tree ✨
• The smell of fresh-baked cookies from your neighbor’s kitchen 🍪
• The laughter of kids on Christmas Eve 🛷
• Acts of kindness big and small 💖
That’s what makes this town sparkle brighter than Rudolph’s nose!
A Peppermint Promise
Before I go, here’s what I leave y’all with:
• Spread joy wherever you go – smile at a neighbor, wave at a stranger, check in on a friend or shut-in.
• Make memories with your loved ones – laugh loud, hug often, and drink all the cocoa.
• Keep your traditions alive – old, new, silly, or serious, they’re what make Christmas yours.
And remember: just because I’m gone doesn’t mean the fun stops. Keep crafting, baking, decorating, and being merry! I’ll be back next year with more glitter, sass, and holiday mischief than you can shake a candy cane at.
Farewell for now, Moore County!
From the bottom of my tiny peppermint heart, thank you for letting me sprinkle a little elf magic into your Christmas this year. You’re sweeter than sugar cookies, brighter than tinsel, and I can’t wait to see you all next holiday season.
Stay sweet, stay sparkly, and Merry Christmas, y’all! 💖🎄
