Hale honored: Governor's Volunteer Stars

Chamber of Commerce President Marsha Hale was recognized Sunday during the Governor's Volunteers Stars ceremony in Franklin.
The Governor's Volunteer Stars Awards (GVSA) is Tennessee's premier volunteer recognition initiative, recognizing outstanding individuals, businesses, and nonprofits from across the state.
Since 2008, participating counties have conducted a call for nominations and recognized one outstanding youth and one outstanding adult volunteer. We also recognize one business and one non-profit from each of Tennessee’s three Grand Divisions for their outstanding community involvement and service.
The Moore County Adult nominee, Hale's recognition included: "Marsha embodies the spirit of community leadership, and her work in Moore County has already left an indelible mark. As both a full-time professional and the newly elected president of the Chamber, she has proven that it's possible to balance a successful career while also dedicating herself to the revitalization of the very town she calls home.
"Her contributions to revamping local events in Lynchburg is just the beginning of a broader vision to breathe new life into Moore County. Through her tireless efforts, Marsha's leadership has inspired those around her to look beyond the present and imagine a brighter future for the community. She is more than just a volunteer – she is a true champion of Moore County."
