Sandra Richard Bray
Sandra Richard Bray, age 78, of Fayetteville, passed away on Oct. 18, 2026, following an extended illness at Extended Family Care.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1947, in Louisville, Ky., to the late Graddy and Mary (Pierce) Richard.
Sandra was a lifelong learner who studied art and journalism before earning her master's degree in psychology.
Sandra had a genuine heart for helping others. She was always willing to lend a hand and would do whatever she could to make a difference in someone's life. It was through helping others that she found her true sense of purpose.
She was loving, kind, intelligent, compassionate, and her caring spirit touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Sandra will be remembered for her loving heart, intelligence, and unwavering willingness to help others. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Graddy C. Richard II. She is survived by her loving siblings, Candy Richard of Mulberry and William (Melissa) Richard of Lynchburg; her nephew, Cary Richard; and her niece, Michelle (Adam) Baker.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Extended Family Care #2 for the wonderful care, kindness, and compassion they provided Sandra during the final chapter of her life. They went above and beyond in caring for Sandra, treating her with love, dignity, and compassion. Their dedication and the extra measures they took to make her comfortable will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026, from noon until 2 p.m. at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
