What If This is the Answer?

What if the answer you’ve been searching for isn’t on the other side of this season – but hidden within it?

What If This Is the Answer?

We've all prayed some version of the same prayer: "God, show me the answer."

The right job. The right relationship. The right opportunity. The right timing. The right door to walk through.

We're often looking for some dramatic moment that removes all uncertainty, but God doesn’t typically work like that.

What if the challenge you're facing ...

The conversation you've been avoiding ...

The person who's testing your patience ...

The season that's stretching you ...

The disappointment you’re experiencing ...

What if this IS the answer?

What if this season is the season you’ve been praying for? Why might that be? Because it's exactly what you need to become who you're called to be.

Here are some hard truths: We often pray for courage but tend to avoid anything that requires bravery. We pray for patience while steering clear of any inconvenience. We ask for wisdom while wishing someone else would simply make the decision for us.

We forget that muscles only grow under resistance. Character is built the same way. Sometimes God places us inside these challenges because the challenge is doing far more work in us than its removal ever could.

Looking back on my own life, the greatest blessings were often disguised as hard decisions, uncertainty, failure, or seasons I desperately wanted to hurry past. Only later did I realize those moments weren't interruptions to God's plan. They were the plan.

Before you spend another week asking, "Why is this happening?" try asking a different question:

"What if this is the answer I've been praying for?"

That one question has the power to turn frustration into purpose ... and fear into faith.

So this week, don't be so quick to pray your way out of the very thing God may be using to grow you. Lean in. Trust Him.

The answer you're searching for may not be waiting on the other side of this season.

It may be the season itself.
