Cannon Co. runs past Raiders

Moore County fell behind early and couldn’t recover Monday night, dropping a difficult road matchup at Cannon County as the Raiders slipped to 0-4.
Cannon County came out firing, racing to a 29-10 lead after the first quarter and stretching the margin to 47-20 by halftime. Moore County struggled to slow the Lions’ offense and had trouble finding a rhythm of its own, especially at the free-throw line.
By the time the third quarter ended, Cannon County held a commanding 69–23 advantage, leaving the Raiders little room for a late push.
Offensively, Cooper Dickey and Colton Morey led Moore County with 6 points each. Dickey provided a spark from long range, knocking down two 3-pointers. Braylynn Hill and Tristyn Gray added 3 points apiece.
A group of Raiders – Kason Ferrara, Callen Van Buskirk, Hunter Alford, Joe Graham, and Anderson Sharpe – finished with 2 points each, while Drew Hardison rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
One of the night’s biggest hurdles came at the foul line. Moore County converted just 4 of 16 free-throw attempts.
Cannon County’s Anderson Lara powered the Lions with a game-high 23 points.
The Raiders aim to regroup as they return home Tuesday to host Culleoka. Tipoff follows the Raiderettes' game.
