Raiderettes remain unbeaten in District

The Raiderettes improved to 15-3 overall and 2-0 in District play with a 72-62 win at Fayetteville City on Friday.

Ellie Graham's inside presence and Ally Sharpe's long-range shooting resulted in a team-high 16 points each. Katy Fletcher added 14.

Graham had 10 second-half points, including 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Sharpe and Emma Sazonov added three 3-pointers to help pace the MCHS offense.

Moore County led 18-9 after the first quarter and 36-21 at halftime. Fayetteville City outscored the Raiderettes 41-36 in the second half but could not complete the comeback.

Emma Dye (9), Sazonov (9), Anna Harder (4), Emily Burks (2), and Bella Tucker (2) rounded out the scoring for Moore County.

The Raiderettes play host to Pisgah, Ala., at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
