Raiderettes stay perfect with win over Culleoka

The Moore County Raiderettes kept their undefeated season rolling Tuesday night, pulling away from Culleoka for a 58-40 home victory that showcased balanced scoring, timely shooting, and a fourth-quarter display of poise at the free-throw line.

Moore County (5-0) leaned early on the hot hand of Ally Sharpe, who set the tone with two first-quarter 3-pointers on her way to a team-high 16 points. Her early burst lifted the Raiderettes to a 17-15 edge after one.

From there, Moore County steadily widened the gap. Emma Dye delivered one of her most complete games of the season, finishing with 12 points and closing the door late with a perfect 6-of-6 showing from the stripe in the fourth quarter. The Raiderettes as a team were excellent at the line, converting 12 of 14 attempts.

The second quarter belonged to Emmeree Greenway knocked down a 3-pointer and tallied all six of her points in the period, while Paisley Kelly added her four points as the Raiderettes stretched the margin to 35-24 at halftime.

Ellie Carter and Bella Tucker each scored eight, with Carter adding a 3-pointer. Harley Hart chipped in two as Moore County carried a comfortable 47-31 lead into the final frame and never looked back.

Culleoka’s Kendall Reischman poured in a game-high 23 points, but the Raiderettes’ depth and defensive pressure eventually wore down the Lady Warriors.

The Raiderettes return home Friday to host Lincoln County at 6 p.m.
