Raiderettes whitewash rival Huntland

Moore County pushed across a run in the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday, and that's all Kallie Ross needed.

The Raiderettes fended off District 9 rival Huntland for a 1-0 victory as Ross allowed only four hits across seven innings. She struck out nine.

Savannah Rose had a one-out single in the home-half of the third. She moved to second on a passed ball, and advanced to third on a ground out by Ross. With two out and a 1-1 count, Anna-Leigh Ross stroked a double to plate Rose.

Kallie Ross buzzed through the Huntland lineup until the sixth. Two singles sandwiched around a fielder's choice and then an error loaded the bases with one out. Ross coaxed an infield popup for the second out before ending the frame with a strikeout.

Bailey Dunn and Rose had two hits to lead the Raiderettes' offense.
