Choose Your Circle
Make hard choices to guard growth, peace, and purpose
MONDAY MOTIVATION • 2:23 p.m. June 30, 2025

At some point, you must take inventory. Not of your bank account. Not of your résumé. Not even your pipeline or income. But of your circle.
Who’s around you? Who’s speaking into your life, shaping your mindset, affecting your energy?
Here’s the hard truth most avoid: People are either a plus or a minus.
I want to slow down here and make sure you got that. Everyone in your life can be categorized into one of two columns: They’re either in the plus column or the minus column – period!
They either fill your cup or drain it. Fan your flame or smother your fire. Call you higher or keep you stuck in cycles.
That doesn’t mean you stop loving people. It means you stop giving unlimited access to those who keep pulling you backward.
If someone consistently dismisses your growth, disrespects your boundaries, belittles or discredits your dreams, or brings out the worst in you ... it might be time to move them to the “minus” column.
That’s not being ugly, mean, or hateful. That’s wisdom. That’s you stewarding your calling, your peace, and, on a macro level, your life.
This shouldn’t be of any surprise, but guess what? It’s going to be hard, especially when it’s family or long-time friends.
But your future is too important to allow the “minuses” to suck the life out of it! Jesus had 12. He loved the masses, but He walked closely with three. You can love everyone, but if you’re genuinely committed to success, joy, and happiness, you can’t walk with all of them.
I hope that you are trying to become someone, and the people around you are either watering that growth or poisoning it. This week, take inventory. Be honest. And have the courage to make some hard decisions.
Your calling and destiny deserve protection. Your peace is worth defending. Your joy is too valuable to be in the wrong hands. Guard these things well. Choose your circle with impassioned intention. And never apologize for protecting your light. #WinTheWeek #NoExcuses
