A competitive first half gave way to a decisive third-quarter surge as Cornersville pulled away from Moore County on Tuesday, handing the Raiders a 66-48 loss in Region 5-District 9A action.
Moore County stayed within striking distance early, trailing just 18-13 after the first quarter and 26-24 at halftime. The Raiders matched Cornersville’s intensity through the opening two periods, with Anderson Sharpe and Colton Morey providing the bulk of the offense and keeping the game tight heading into the break.

That momentum shifted after halftime. Cornersville opened the third quarter with an extended run, outscoring Moore County 18-4 to seize control. The Bulldogs carried a commanding 44-28 lead into the fourth quarter and never looked back.
Ayden Campbell led all scorers with 24 points for Cornersville, knocking down a 3-pointer and doing much of his damage late. Campbell scored nine points in the fourth quarter and was nearly automatic from the free-throw line down the stretch, converting 7 of 8 attempts to seal the win.
Morey paced Moore County with a team-high 19 points, including two 3-pointers, while Sharpe added 16 points with a pair of treys.
Tristyn Gray finished with four points, Deacon Liles scored three, and Braylynn Hill, Drew Hardison, and Ryland Stovall chipped in two points apiece.
The Raiders were efficient at the line, making 6 of 9 free throws.
With the loss, Moore County fell to 3-14 overall and 1-2 in district play. The Raiders will look to regroup Thursday when they return home to host Huntland in another District 9A matchup.
