MCMS takes two on the road at Blanche
Blowout wins: 11 Raiders score, four Raiderettes post twin figures

The Moore County Middle School Raiders turned in a wire-to-wire performance Monday night, defeating Blanche 40-14 to improve to 12-4 on the season.
MCMS set the tone early, jumping out to an 11-4 lead after the first quarter and carrying a 19-9 advantage into halftime. The Raiders put the game out of reach in the third quarter, holding Blanche scoreless while extending the margin to 28-9 entering the final period.
Offensive balance was a key factor, as 11 Raiders scored in the victory. Whit Sumners led the way with eight points, while Laken Wade, Kurt Smith, and Brantly Chapin each added six. Smith connected on two 3-pointers during the game.
Max Dickey contributed four points, with Jojo Pettygrue, Harrison Norman, and Sully Townes scoring two apiece.
Colton Alford and Sawyer Boyce rounded out the scoring with one point each.
Moore County went 4 of 8 from the free-throw line.
Brycen Carter led the Bulldogs with five points.
Raiderettes 59, Blanche 16
The Middle School Raiderettes continued their dominant season with a 59-16 victory over Blanche, improving their record to 15-1.
Moore County set the tone early, racing to a 16-2 lead after the first quarter and carrying a 25-9 advantage into halftime. The Raiderettes put the game out of reach in the third quarter, erupting for 28 points to stretch the lead to 53-12 entering the final period.
Balanced scoring and defensive intensity fueled the win, as Moore County held Blanche to single-digit scoring in every quarter. Baylee Thomas led the Raiderettes with 14 points, including six from the free-throw line. Sadie Ivey and Maddie Goodwin each added 11 points, with both players knocking down two 3-pointers. Addison Brandon chipped in 10 points.
Madison Hatfield scored five, highlighted by a 3-pointer. Haven Hornaday added four points, and Lily Smith and Emmy Thomas finished with two apiece.
The Raiderettes went 14 of 27 from the free-throw line.
Laken Cothren led Blanche with seven points, including a 3-pointer.
Moore County will return to action Thursday night, hosting Unity for 8th Grade Night. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
