By halftime Thursday night, the Moore County Middle School Raiderettes had 39 points on the board. Fayetteville was still looking for its first basket.

And Keegan Embrey was having herself a night.

Embrey sets the tone early

Moore County put 24 points on the board in the first quarter, with Embrey doing most of the damage. The Raiderettes' No. 13 knocked down two 3-pointers on her way to 14 points in the period. Murphy Ray added four, while Sadie Ivey and Emmy Thomas chipped in three apiece.

Fayetteville didn't score, and Moore County carried a 24-0 lead into the second.

Allie Ivey scored four in the period, Embrey knocked down a 3-pointer, and Madison Hatfield and Brynlee Hammers added two apiece.

Fayetteville's Sadie Gentry accounted for the home team's only basket.

Sadie Ivey and Hollis Norman each made a free throw as Moore County closed the game with 14 unanswered points.

Emmy Thomas and Ava Webster contributed three each. Hornaday, Chapin, Hatfield, and Hammers finished with two apiece, while Norman added one.

Boyce's 13 powers Raiders past Tigers

Fayetteville stayed within shouting distance of Moore County for a half Thursday night. Then Sawyer Boyce and the Raiders made sure the home team didn't get any closer.

Boyce scored nine of his game-high 13 points in the third quarter as Moore County Middle School pulled away for a 41-12 victory.

The Raiders led by six at halftime before outscoring Fayetteville 24-1 over the final two quarters. Seven Moore County players scored in the win, with Laken Wade adding eight points and Brantly Chapin finishing with seven.

Raiders take control after halftime

Chapin got Moore County going early, scoring five points in the opening quarter. Max Dickey, Kurt Smith, and Wade added two apiece as the Raiders built an 11–6 advantage.

The home team held Moore County to six points in the second quarter while scoring five of its own. Boyce accounted for four of the Raiders' six points, with Dickey adding the other two.

That left Moore County ahead 17-11 at halftime, still close enough for Fayetteville to make things interesting.

Boyce had other ideas. The Raiders' leading scorer took over in the third, pouring in nine points as Moore County put together a 15-point quarter. Wade added four, Chapin chipped in two, and Fayetteville managed just a single point.

What had been a six-point game at halftime was suddenly a 32-12 Moore County advantage heading into the fourth.

Tigers held scoreless in fourth quarter

Colton Alford scored four points in the final quarter, while Lane Millaway and Wade added two apiece. Smith chipped in a point as Moore County tacked on nine more and held Fayetteville scoreless.

Moore County turned a six-point halftime advantage into a 29-point rout. Fayetteville never scored another basket after the break.
