First-quarter burst lifts Lincoln Co. past Raiders

The Moore County Raiders dropped to 1-5 on the season Friday night, falling 78-53 to visiting Lincoln County.
The Falcons set the tone early, racing out to a 26-9 lead after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 39-22 by halftime. LCHS continued to control the tempo coming out of the break, pushing the margin to 61-38 entering the fourth quarter and never allowing Moore County to mount a sustained rally.
Anderson Sharpe paced the Raiders with 13 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Cooper Dickey and Tristyn Gray each added nine points, including a trey from Dickey, while Colton Morey contributed eight points, including two three-pointers.
Knox Hall and Rylan Stovall finished with four points apiece, followed by Deacon Liles and Avery Rogers with three points each. Rogers also connected on a 3-pointer.
Moore County struggled at the free-throw line, converting just 2 of 5 attempts on the night.
Lincoln County was led by Elijah Parks, who poured in a game-high 29 points and hit a pair of three-pointers. Lawrence Guthrie added 10 points for the Falcons.
Moore County travels to Culleoka on Tuesday. The twinbill tips at 6 p.m. with the Raiderettes facing the Lady Warriors.
