Raiderettes senior Katy Fletcher eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau on Senior Night on Friday during Moore County's 61-23 victory against Fayetteville City. The win clinched the Class 1A Region 5-District 9 regular-season banner.
Anna Harder had a game-high 12 points to lead MCHS, with Ellie Graham and Fletcher adding 10.
Graham's seven points in the first quarter helped the Raiderettes race to a 16-8 lead.
With 2:51 remaining in the second quarter, Fletcher drained two free throws for her seventh and eighth points to reach 1,000. She joins Graham and Ally Sharpe as the 1K Club members on the Raiderettes.
"I did not realize [1,000 points] was within reach," Fletcher said after being presented a commemorative basketball on the court postgame. "It means a lot, obviously."
MCHS (21-3, 5-0) led 34-10 at halftime, pushing its advantage to 50-20 after three quarters.
Sharpe added nine points, followed by Emma Sazonov (4), Ella Burks (3), Emma Dye (3), Emily Burks (2), Audrey Harder (2), Bella Tucker (2), and Ellie Carter (1).
Moore County hit 13 shots from the floor, was 7 of 14 from the free-throw line, and drained six 3-pointers – Ella Burks, Dye, Anna Harder, Harley Hart, Sazonov, and Sharpe.
MCHS swept the season series against Fayetteville, including a 72-62 win on Jan. 17.
Emily Burks, Madison Dingler, Fletcher, Graham, Anna Harder, Audrey Harder, Hannah Martin, and Sazonov were the seniors honored before the game.
The Raiderettes host Van Buren County at 6 p.m. Tuesday and then wrap up the regular season at Huntland on Feb. 14.
