Late barrage carries Raiders past Culleoka

Moore County broke through for its first victory of the regular season on Tuesday night, defeating Culleoka 69-58 behind a balanced, four-player surge in double figures.
The Raiders (1-4) opened with a 15-12 lead after the first quarter but slipped behind 32-31 at halftime as Culleoka found its rhythm from the perimeter, hitting five 3-pointers in the frame.
Moore County regrouped after the break, reclaiming a 48-43 advantage by the end of the third quarter and then closing the door with a decisive 21-point fourth period.
Colton Morey fueled the late push and finished with a game-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers and seven crucial points in the closing frame. Tristyn Gray added 14 points, six of them in the fourth, while Cooper Dickey supplied 13 points with a pair of 3-pointers and five points in the final quarter. Anderson Sharpe provided 11 points and knocked down three shots from beyond the arc.
Braylynn Hill chipped in two points, and Drew Hardison added one to round out the scoring. As a team, the Raiders went 16 of 25 from the free-throw line, including 8-for-11 by Morey.
Culleoka’s Bob Holt led the visitors with 15 points.
Moore County will look to build on the win when it hosts Lincoln County on Friday.
