Raiderettes bounce back against Grundy Co.

Moore County bounced back from a heartbreaking loss with a 65-50 win over Grundy County on Monday, Dec. 29, in its opening game of the annual Christmas Tournament.
Less than 48 hours after suffering a half-court buzzer-beater defeat, Moore County set the tone early and steadily built separation across all four quarters. The Raiderettes led 19-15 after the first quarter and carried a 35-28 advantage into halftime, using balanced scoring and disciplined execution to control the tempo.

Emma Dye jump-started the offense early, scoring all 12 of her points in the first half, including eight in the opening quarter. Moore County extended the margin in the third period, outscoring Grundy County to take a 51-37 lead entering the fourth quarter and never allowed the Lady Yellow Jackets to mount a serious rally.
Emmeree Greenway led all Raiderettes with 21 points, providing consistent scoring throughout the night. Ellie Carter added 16 points, knocking down a 3-pointer and converting a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.
Bella Tucker chipped in 10 points, while Paisley Kelly scored three. Ally Sharpe also finished with three points, highlighted by a first-quarter 3-pointer.
Moore County’s efficiency at the foul line proved decisive, as the Raiderettes went 15 of 20 from the stripe.
Grundy County was led by Kallie Parson, who scored a game-high 22 points, while Joy Livesay added 10.
With the win, Moore County improved to 7-3 on the season. The Raiderettes face Wayne County at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
